Sometimes I submit writings to “conservative” websites that are a little too hot for them to handle. Some won’t print religious material that is too straightforward, and they won’t publish articles that they feel might offend their brass or too many of their readers. That’s fine, that’s their choice. That’s the curse of “for profit” businesses/websites—decisions are made based on money, not truth or what is best for mankind.
This substack, Mark It Down! does not and will not do that. Some of you are paid subscribers, and I want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, that I appreciate that so very much. Those of you who are not paid subscribers—I understand completely. You may be supporting other great causes, or your budget, given the current Biden economy, may simple be too tight for you to be able to help, financially, causes you might otherwise like to support. Frankly, that is the situation I find myself in. I’m not financially well off, so I can’t send money to places I’d like to. I 100% understand that mentality. Thank you for being an unpaid subscriber. I appreciate you, too.
I appreciate all of my subscribers. I just finished my first year of Mark It Down! My subscription numbers have been rising. Share the site with others, please.
I hope my subscriptions will continue to increase, but rise or fall, I can promise you right now that I will not “play politics” to please anybody. I’m going to write what I think is the truth. If you don’t like it, well, of course, you are free to not subscribe or quit your subscription. I’ve had some people do that. But I’m not going to kiss anybody’s backside to try to get their money or approval. I will stand before God some day and give an account to HIM, not Donald Trump or the Republican Party. The Lord has taken care of my sorry hide so far in my almost 70 years of living, and I suspect He will continue to do so. If I drop dead today, I’ll go and be with Him which is what I am living for anyway and would be a far better thing than this current hellhole we call earth run by broods of vipers like Joe Biden, Mike Johnson, the Uniparty, and the CCP.
I’m obviously an imperfect Christian—first—and a politically conservative second. I don’t even call myself a “Republican,” I’m a Christian libertarian, as most of our Founding Fathers would have claimed. I never vote for a Democrat, because that party has become anti-everything I believe in, and I don’t know even one good, decent Democratic politician. I don’t consider myself a wild-eyed “conspiracy theorist.” I stick with what I see is the truth, which, for the most part, isn’t extreme. It comes from God and history, so that’s where I try to stand, though I am far from perfect, obviously.
I promise you that this substack will never compromise truth—God’s or political—in order to make a buck. I will call ‘em like I see ‘em. I do hope I make you think, even if you don’t always agree. And, again, if what I write doesn’t please you, then you are obviously free to go read other substacks.
I thank all of you for your support and pray for God’s richest blessings upon you. I hope we all meet someday on that eternal shore, if not on this one.
