Bible Brief: Fearfully and Wonderfully Made"
Psalm 139:14: “I will give thanks unto thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Some facts about the DNA in your body.
You have 46 segments of DNA in most of the 37.5 trillion cells in your body (that appears to be the current estimate, but it may change tomorrow). You got 23 segments from your mother, and 23 from your father. DNA contains the unique information that determines what you look like, and how every cell in your body is to function as long as you live.
If the DNA in just one of your cells were uncoiled, connected, and stretched out, it would be about 6-7 feet long. It would be so thin that it could not be seen even under an electron microscope. If all this coded information from just one cell in your body were written in books, it would fill a library of about 4,000 books of 500 pages with 300 words per page. If all the DNA in your body were placed end-to-end, it would stretch from here to the moon more than 500,000 times. In book form, the information would completely fill the Grand Canyon more than 75 times. If one set of DNA (one cell's worth) from every person who ever lived were placed in a pile, it would weigh less than an aspirin.
To put it another way, each human cell has around 6 feet of DNA. Let’s say each human has around 10 trillion+ cells (again, depending upon who you ask, this is actually a low ball estimate). This would mean that each person has around 60 trillion feet or around 10 billion miles of DNA inside of them.
All of that by chance, of course. Flipping a coin and getting “heads” 10 trillion times in a row. A whirlwind in a junk yard producing a super computer. Rocks rolling down a hill, converging in channels as they go, and coming together at the bottom in the form of the Parthenon (one evolutionist actually used this last analogy in a book he wrote).
That’s Darwinism, the biggest hoax in human history. Evolution. The same “science” that gave us “climate change” and all the lies about Covid-19. Pardon my skepticism. I’ll think for myself, thank you, and draw sensible conclusions based on evidence.
(Some of the above information on DNA came from Carl Pagan, er, Satan, I mean, Sagan.)
