I have been a baseball fan all my life. I loved the sport as a child and still do. Being a Texan, my favorite team has always been the Houston Astros, originally known as the Colt .45s, and I still wish they were. But they changed the name in 1965 before gun control became politically correct. I remember the very first game the Colt .45s played—an 11-2 win over the Chicago Cubs, when Roman Mejias hit two home runs and Bobby Shantz got the win. That’s how far back I go.
But, “out of 30 [MLB] teams, 29 are set to hold a [Queer] Night event—the lone holdout being the Texas Rangers—filled with [Queer] jerseys, drag queen pregame, rainbow walks and even LGBTQ scholarships, according to the events page” (The Daily Caller). I change “Pride” to “Queer” in my quote because I refuse to cave to any of their indecent, godless perversion. I grew up when “gay” was a good word—it meant “happy.” I also refuse to refer to homosexuals as “gay,” for there is nothing “gay” about this “abomination” (Leviticus 18:22) in the eyes of God. It is “vile” (Romans 1:26). I’m not giving an inch on it. Those who practice such sin “will not inherit the kingdom of God” (I Corinthians 6:9-11). My hope and prayer is that these people will repent, as apparently some of the Corinthian people did when they truly learned what Jesus Christ had done for them.
Back to the MLB. It appears that the Astros intend to have a Queer Night, too. The Rangers (another Texas team, of course) haven’t caved yet. I am through with the Astros and now swear my allegiance to the Rangers. If they cave, too, then I will be finished with MLB, just like I am through with the NFL and NBA. I will not support any sport, or team, that glorifies that which God so roundly condemns.
I wrote the Astros and told them so; I hope you will join me and write to your favorite MLB team (if you have one) and express your displeasure and intent to boycott them, unless they reverse course and quit supporting woke, despicable activities. It is the only way we are ever going to change things. Washington, of course, will never help.
I have also written to the Rangers and let them know I support them in not having a Queer festival night. You might want to do that, too.
The Los Angeles Dodgers, of course—an organization I used to have the greatest respect for—has been in the news for spitting in the face of Catholic Americans by inviting a pro-queer, anti-Catholic pervert group to perform, or whatever they do, at Dodger Stadium. I hope you Dodger fans will vociferously, and overwhelmingly, let the Dodgers know what you think of their action.
I’ll miss the Astros. But if they abuse my God and me, I won’t have anything to do with them. Go, Rangers—unless you cave, too.
