Jim Jordan for House Speaker? Donald Trump?
I wasn’t disappointed in the least that Kevin McCarthy was ousted from the Speakership of the House of Representatives. There could have been worse Speakers, but McCarthy was a little to RINO for me. Since there won’t be a Speaker for at least another few days, the government can’t do much. And anytime the government can’t do much, that is good news for the American people.
Jim Jordan has tossed his hat into the ring for the Speaker’s position. From all I have heard about Jordan, he would be much better than McCarthy. Jordan hasn’t exactly been moving with the speed of light in his committee in pursuing Joe and Hunter Biden, but these things do take time if they are going to be done correctly. Let’s see who else might want the job.
I read that Donald Trump might be “open” to the job for a little while. Wayne Allyn Root has been trying to get Trump there for a long time. It would be a perfect position for Mr. Trump. He could wreak havoc in the House, and that is exactly what is needed. SOMEBODY needs to shake up Washington, D.C. Things must not go on as they have been going on for decades. There has to be some serious, revolutionary change in the way the U.S. government is run. Trump might be able to do it as House Speaker. He had four years as President to do it, and made hardly a dent. He has almost no chance of getting re-elected next year as President, especially if the Democrats drop Joe Biden, which they almost surely will. Trump for Speaker? Well, he could get elected to that post if all Republicans in the House supported him, and it IS a powerful position. He could do a lot there. He would actually be my first choice for the job.
It probably won’t happen, but it’s a nice thought.
