Liz Cheney hates Donald Trump so much that she is talking about mounting a third party candidacy for the presidency next year. She better think about it long and hard. She’d probably take more votes away from Biden than Trump. No Trump voter would vote for Cheney.

So the Republicans in the House are going to hold a vote next week on whether they ought to hold a vote to impeach Biden, i.e, hold impeachment hearings. It will be interesting to see if Mike Johnson can hold all the Republicans together and get the impeachment hearings. That’s probably 50-50. Lots of gutless Republicans and it will only take a few to vote “no,” and any impeachment hearings on Biden will go down the tubes. I have no idea what they will do. That’s how “confident” I am in Republicans.

Donald Trump seems to be secure for the Republican Party nomination. Or maybe not. Ron DeSantis appears to have a lot more support in Iowa and New Hampshire than the media is reporting. Polls usually can’t be trusted; we’ll see how accurate they are this time. The “mainstream” media does NOT want RDS to get the Republican nomination; he would almost surely win the Presidency. The media/Democrats still think that Trump can’t win. That isn’t as much of a given as it used to be, but it’s still the best bet. January 15 is going to be very interesting. The polls might tighten up before then, if RDS does indeed have some significant support in the Hawkeye State. The polls don’t want to be seen as being TOO wrong.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is warning that U.S. troops could be used in Ukraine if Congress doesn’t waste more money sending arms to that country. I doubt the current United States military is going to scare Vladimir Putin very much. The Democrats really hate Putin (they still think he helped Trump win in 2016), and of course, Biden is going to protect his, and Hunter’s, buddies there. Don’t be surprised if the Republicans cave on more aid to Ukraine. Mitch, Nikki, and Lindsey will certainly go for it. What a farce the United States government has become.
