I must be honest and upfront and admit I did not see the speech. As far as I could tell, I couldn’t get it live in Thailand. J. D. Vance had the right idea anyway—boycott it because who wants to listen to a pack of lies?
But I have read a few summaries of it, and here are some thoughts I have.
1. Joe Biden is a bitter old man who is full of hate. He hates Republicans, he hates everybody who doesn’t agree with him, and who isn’t willing to submit to his vision of a new, radical, immoral globalist America. He hates you. And he thinks you are stupid, that you can’t see through his lies. What a “leader”.
2. His campaign strategy was in evidence—divide and conquer. Because he hates Republicans so much, he probably doesn’t even want to live in the same country with them. Unless, of course, they submit to him. He has no intention of trying to unite America. He is only dividing. What unifying message did he present to America? I read none.
3. He will ceaselessly attack Trump during the campaign; that’s to be expected. Trump will do the same. But Trump does have a message Americans can rally around: America First, Make America Great Again. The fear is, the Democrats have created so many people in the country who hate America now that their message is, implicitly, “Destroy America.”
4. Did Mike Johnson really sit there and applaud and nod his head in agreement with a lot of what Biden said? Why didn’t he do what Pelosi did a few years ago to Trump’s speech and tear up Biden’s after it was over? This is why Democrats win and Republicans lose. Democrats know what they want and are single-minded in their purpose to get it. Republicans are gutless wimps who only know how to lose.
There was really nothing new here. We knew what Biden was going to say and it will all be meaningless tomorrow. The only campaign issue that is really interesting to Americans now is, are the Democrats truly going to stick with Biden? It looks increasingly like they will. But who knows?
Nah. I don’t think I’ll watch Biden’s speech. I can get it on Rumble or YouTube now. It would be a waste of time. And maybe this article is, too.
