The Left’s Return to Eugenics
This is the best article I've written in a long time, folks. You should read it.
A rather lengthy quote at the beginning, but a relevant one of worthwhile reading:
“With savages, the weak in body or mind are soon eliminated, and those that survive commonly exhibit a vigorous state of health. We civilized men, on the other hand, do our utmost to check the process of elimination. We build asylums for the imbecile, the maimed, and the sick. We institute poor laws, and our medical men exert their utmost skill to save the life of everyone to the last moment. Thus, the weak members of civilized societies propagate their kind. No one who has attended to the breeding of domestic animals will doubt that this must be highly injurious to the race of man. It is surprising how soon a want of care or care wrongly directed leads to the degeneration of a domestic race. But, excepting in the case of man himself, hardly anyone is so ignorant as to allow his worst animals to breed.”
Who wrote that? Hitler? Well, no, he didn’t, though he certainly believed it and built his entire racist system upon it. The superior Aryan race must survive, and the weaker subhuman Slavs and Jews must be eliminated. Humanity will become extinct if we let these weaker elements of our species continue to breed and become dominant. Yikes!
I’ll tell you later who wrote that quote above. Maybe. I don’t want to upset too many folks.
No one is arguing for eugenics today—well, actually, yes, they are, and maybe even more stringently than implied above. Abortion, anyone? Euthanasia is definitely gaining traction in certain quarters. Justin Trudeau never met anyone he wasn’t willing to euthanize. And there is a strong element on the Left that decidedly wants fewer people on earth, in whatever manner that goal might be attained. For example, while we (think we) need farmers to feed people, farmers are causing climate change. Feeding people is exacerbating global warming. Hence, we must restrict farming. We must produce less food. We must let humans die for the survival of humanity. That is sheer Hitlerism.
Eugenics. Euthanasia. Mass murder. Call it what you will. The need for dead humans. It’s on the rise again. It’s “progressive.”
An historical review: Coming out of the 18th century Enlightenment and Industrial Revolution, “Progress” was one of the key philosophical movements of the 19th and 20th centuries. It was almost undisputed in intellectual and scientific circles. Mankind was evolving ever onward and upward. “Man in the distant future will be a far more perfect creature than he now is.” (same author as above). And this jewel from Leon Trotsky: “Man will become immeasurably stronger, wiser, and subtler. His body will become more harmonized, his movements more rhythmic, his voice more musical, the forms of life will become dynamically dramatic. The average human type will rise to the heights of an Aristotle, a Goethe, or a Marx. And above these heights, new peaks will rise.” Those who no longer believed in an afterlife substituted a more glorious future in this life. The gradual loss of faith in God led them to reach for “progress” in this existence as their raison d’etre.
Marxism, socialism, communism—man is “progressing” towards a golden age of earthly utopia. It was heady stuff, almost universally believed, and even spawned a “Progressive” movement in America. Leftists still call themselves “progressives.”
But then, it didn’t work. The glorious Soviet and communist utopian experiments were utter disasters. Utopian “progress” failed. So, “Red” turned “Green,” and the environmental movement definitely soured on “progress.” Now, “progress” has a problem. Humans are a curse on this earth. Yes, material and technological “progress” are still apparent, but THAT “progress” is what is destroying the planet. And only the Left can save us. By killing us.
Man is causing “climate change.” A 2009 “The New Yorker” article blamed the (supposed) coming 6th great “die-off”, mass extinction of species, on “reckless human activity,” reproduction in particular. Three years later, the same magazine published an article, “The Case Against Kids: Is Procreation Immoral?” There are simply too many people on this earth. Overpopulation will destroy the planet. And humans are just too nice. We aren’t letting “natural selection” kill off the “weaker” of our species. And hence, overpopulation will extinguish the earth and maybe every species on it.
“We [humans] are a plague on the earth!” BBC’s David Attenborough raged. “Either we limit our population growth, or the natural world will do it for us.” During its “one-child only” family policy, China used forced abortions as one means of restricting their population. Now, the CCP is panicking over not having ENOUGH people, and are threatening women to get them to have more children.
Aren’t Big Brother and government planning wonderful and wise to behold?
So, the intellectuals’ everlasting “progress” of the 19th and 20th centuries has skidded to a halt. Environmentalism is decidedly anti-human. No more “progress,” mankind is destroying the globe. And they are having success convincing the mindless, unthinking robots like Democrats to go along with it. Fertility rates have fallen below replacement levels in many developed countries. But there are still too many people. They’ve got it covered, though. Most of humanity will die when the farmers stop producing food and people must resort to eating bugs and tree bark.
And, if all else fails, if necessity becomes paramount, we can always euthanize the old and worthless, or return to eugenics (led by the CCP, Bill Gates, and the WEF), or just let the weakest of our species die off so that only the “fittest” will “survive.” That’s the law of nature, isn’t it? Hitler was right after all. (Forgive my sarcasm.)
Leftist, atheistic, naturalistic, materialistic “progress.” Mass murder. The Democratic Party in America. There is your world without divine guidance.
