In a “hot mic” moment, Joe Biden was caught saying that Benjamin Netanyahu needs to “come to Jesus.”
Well, I certainly agree with that. Everybody, Jew and Gentile, needs to obey the Lord before it is everlastingly too late for them. Unfortunately, and sadly, Jesus Himself said that such wasn’t going to happen (Matthew 7:13-14).
But the hypocrisy of Biden’s statement is a hoot. Here is a man who is supposed to be a devout Catholic, supposedly a Christian, supposedly a believer in the teaching of Jesus and follower of Him, but who believes that a woman has the right to murder her unborn child, who believes that children can be mutilated for life for the sexual pleasure of hedonistic perverts, who believes a man can become a woman and a woman can become a man, who thinks that two men or two women can be “married” in God’s eyes, and who is one of the biggest proven liars on the planet. And he is telling somebody else they need to “come to Jesus”.
And yes, Jesus loves everybody and we should, too. But the love of God doesn’t free people from obedience to His commands. “If you love me,” Jesus said, “keep my commandments” (John 14:15). “He who does not love me does not keep My words,” (John 14:24). That’s pretty clear.
Folks, people aren’t going to hell because God doesn’t love them. People are going to hell because they don’t love God.
Get the Sequoia out of your own eye first, Joe, before you start telling somebody else what they need to do.
