Trump: Assassination? And Ballot Denial
Just this week, Tucker Carlson has expressed his fear that Donald Trump might be assassinated. It made a few conservative headlines (including this one). I certainly like Tucker—a lot—but this wasn’t necessarily wise. Every public figure, including Joe Biden, takes a risk of being assassinated. Quite frankly, it has happened to literally thousands of politicians down through history, including 4 American Presidents. As many crazies as there are in the United States today, putting the idea into somebody’s head doesn’t strike me as being the height of wise talk. But Tucker is Tucker, and nobody’s tongue is perfect. Trump is in danger, but so is every candidate from some creep wanting his day in the sun. Let’s hope nobody, on either side, is assassinated.
Several states are apparently looking into a 14th Amendment rationale for keeping Donald Trump off the Presidential ballot next year. I also saw that in the news. I don’t think it’s a big deal, not in the current American climate. The states who would do it are states Trump wouldn’t win anyway. And don’t forget, Abraham Lincoln, in 1860, wasn’t on a single Southern ballot and he won the Presidency. More stupid maneuvering by the Left against a man they hate.
Trump is the central figure in American politics today. He gets lots of attention. It’s going to be that way until he disappears from the scene.
