Wisdom From Our Founders: Noah Webster and Who to Vote For
I wonder who Webster would vote for this year...
I guess, technically, Noah Webster isn’t considered one of America’s “Founders,” but he was close enough and he certainly knew the “zeitgeist” of the country in his time, something modern Leftists—and many conservatives—are totally ignorant of. Regardless, I will quote him occasionally because he was a brilliant man.
Here is something he said that ought to make everyone—Democrat and Republican—squirm today:
“When a citizen gives his vote to a man of known immorality, he abuses his civic responsibility and he betrays the interest of his country.”
What a choice our people are giving our country this year. ANY Democratic politician nowadays falls under Webster’s condemnation of immorality. You cannot support a party that murders babies, mutilates and sexually enslaves children, believes that men can become women and visa-versa, believes in same-sex “marriage”—no true Christian person could ever vote for any candidate who supports those things. Joe Biden is nothing but pure, godless evil.
The problem is, Donald Trump is not exactly a man of the most pure moral character, either. I want to make it clear that, as a Christian, I support Donald Trump, not because he is a Christian or of high moral quality—he is neither—but because his opponent, Joe Biden, is total, anti-American slime and is of at least equal moral degeneracy (almost surely worse) as Trump. I support Trump because of his pro-Americanism, not for his Christian morality. Frankly, I wish I had another choice, but if I write some decent American’s name in for President, I, in effect, am supporting Biden. And there is no such thing, right now, as a Democrat I can support.
Deep thought on Webster’s quote gives us flawless indication of how America has degenerated since his day.
